Why I decided to go vegan.

There’s been a mistake. You’ve accidentally given me the food that my food eats.

I have talked at least once in here about how I can no longer drink whey, or any other form of protein I have tried recently. They all instantly make me feel like complete shit, and I assume its because of my ulcers.

I know that a lot of people get all of their protein from whole foods, but those people are idiots. Or eat like birds.

Sure, I don’t mind doing it some days. But eating over 200g of protein everyday without any protein powder if nothing else is just extremely time consuming.

So not being able to utilize the most convenient supplement the world has to offer, has been quite frustrating.

But THANKFULLY, I watched a Instagram story from my friend and awesome fitness coach Kait Cavers, and just by chance she was talking about how vegan protein can be easier on the stomach.

So I decided fuck it, if there was ever a time to throw some money at the disgusting vegan community, this was it.

Run Everything Labs just so happened to be having their black Friday sale, so I picked up two jugs of their vegan nonsense.

They got here yesterday, and so far I have only tried the PB&Jelly.

The flavor was… Not there. Like it literally had pretty much no taste. It had a slight hint of jelly, and chalk, but thats really it. But there was almost no aftertaste. None. Which is amazingggg. Because even when I can drink whey, it always leaves a sickening taste in my mouth/stomach.

I drank it post workout on an empty stomach and I am extremely happy to report that I had zero issues with it. My stomach didn’t hate me at, alllll.

So, sadly, I have every so slightly gone over to the cult of the vegan. I hate to buy anything that supports such a disgusting, dishonest, and simply unhealthy lifestyle. But when gains are on the line, you do what you have to.

The rest of yesterdays food was basically a few servings of cereal, two servings of rice, and 18.25oz of chicken breast seasoned with a little salt, 1 tbsp of butter, and soy sauce.

And then two Mountain Dews, one of which I ended up not drinking. So one Mountain Dew.

Oh, and a chunk of tuna.

Since I was coming off of a few days of a cutting break, energy was actually pretty decent in the gym. Still fighting the mystery left quad tear feeling, but I have decided to just ignore it and hope for the best.

We don’t normally start leg day with a set of dumbbell presses, but the gym was really busy and we almost changed days around. But then a squat rack freed up and we decided not to be lazy and to carry on with the planned leg day. It was actually Kourtney who pushed to get back on legs, which made me very proud.

Thats about it for today, so thanks for stopping by.

And as always,

Eat dirty my friends
