We are 40 days in. Keep the ice cream flowing.

What day it is?  Its day 40!! I know that it is not really much of a landmark compared to day 30, but there is just something about that slanty line leaning into that straight line, being crossed by that little horizontal line.  It just feels so much better.

So, how is the progress? Well, as of this morning I am down to 176lbs.  I started at a little over 192lbs, so we are already almost at the 20lb mark!  I feel like I am going to be in the low 160s when this is all said and done.  Which means, as soon as this is all over, it will be time to work on getting that 25lbs of muscle back that I lost after my last surgery.  Freaking pec tears, I do not recommend trying it out.

I didn’t make it to the store to stock back up on ice cream, but I will have to tomorrow.  I have one pint of Ben & Jerry’s left, and maybe a little bit of egg nog ice cream buried somewhere in our now jam packed freezer.  As long as I can find a sale, tomorrow should be an ice cream restocking day of epic proportions.

I didn’t make it to the gym today, because one of the ice creams that I thought survived in the bottom of the deep freeze apparently did not…  When I opened it to eat some for lunch today, it looked like it had melted and then re-frozen, so I tried a spoonful of it, because, me.  It definitely had just slipped by my quality control yesterday, and I promptly dumped it down the drain.

But then after about an hour I started feeling TERRIBLE.  Not full blow food poisoning bad, but pretty damn close.  It has been about 5 hours since eating it now, and there is no sign of relief.  So hopefully I will wake up fully recovered.  I already lost a week of gym time recently, so the last thing I need is to be out for a few more unplanned days.

Other than the ice cream problems of the last two days, things have been going really well.  Mood is up and down, but it’s pretty good for the most part.  I always get a little pissy when I am cutting, and so far it has been par for the course.

That is all I have for now, but stay tuned for a massive ice cream trip tomorrow.  Unless there are no sales, then prepare for a pint or two.

Abs & Ice Cream, , CO,

Abs & Ice Cream is not simply a catchy name or cocky statement; it's about much more than that.

It's abut being free, and understanding the fact that you CAN be dedicated to fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being, and still enjoy any foods that you desire. It's about ending the stress and the pain that placing foods into categories of "good" and "bad" causes us.

But most of all, it's about our lifelong journey to find balance and happiness in everything that we do.
